Introduction to Privacy Policy

Clearpoint Agency respects your right to personal privacy. Any information provided online is used responsibly and with your knowledge. To protect online privacy, we have instituted the following policy.

Information Collection

Clearpoint Agency is the sole owner of information collected on our site. Any data we collect is used only to help us better serve our clients, therefore, it is a general policy to collect and store only information that our clients and visitors knowingly provide. If this policy changes, we will notify all users via email or a special announcement placed on the site.

Users to the public areas of our site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data, such as the number of hits per section or page, are collected. Aggregate data are used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates.  A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

Cookies are used on our site only to provide user navigation and areas of interest in aggregate form.

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files.  This includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.  IP addresses are not tied to personally identifiable information to enable our Web-based service.  We use a tracking utility called WebTrends that uses log files to analyze user movement.

This Web site contains links to other sites. Clearpoint Agency has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy policy statements of other sites that collect identifiable information.

We may share personal information in limited circumstances.

Service Providers – in the event that we partner with other third parties to provide specific services, such as interactive marketing support, advertising specialties, or shipping services, we share names or other contact information as required for the third party to provide the service. These service providers are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except to provide the services for which they have been contracted.

This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users’ information.
