Bonnie Shaw co-founded Clearpoint Agency in August 2002. Bonnie oversees client accounts and creates dynamic public relations strategies for Clearpoint clients. This includes messaging, branding, media relations and social media marketing.

She previously worked as a public relations account supervisor for McQuerter Group, and prior to that worked for the National MS Society, San Diego Magazine and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce in charge of events and publications. Very relationship-focused, Bonnie knows the value of developing solid relationships between her clients, their partners and the media. She uses her broad experience in PR and marketing to develop complete PR and digital marketing programs, create messaging platforms, land media placements and speaking engagements, and craft content strategies that drive success for Clearpoint Agency clients.

Volunteerism is close to Bonnie’s heart. She has served on the boards of numerous non-profit and school-based organizations, and has spent uncountable hours volunteering for various professional organizations, the MS Society, PRSA, SDSIC and political races. Bonnie has been a featured speaker on PR and social media, and has received numerous Bernays from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for her work. Bonnie earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and several awards. She was also part of the team to found the university’s first television station, CPTV, and served as the station’s first student general manager.

In her free time, Bonnie enjoys gardening, sailing, wine tasting, following politics and relaxing on the beach near her home in Carlsbad, California with her husband and son.

Co-founder of Clearpoint Agency, Beth is an expert at developing targeted messaging and communications strategies that generate brand awareness for clients. In 2012, Beth was awarded the Otto Bos Lifetime Achievement Award from the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego.

Prior to Clearpoint Agency, Beth was senior vice president of public relations at McQuerterGroup where she managed the client services and public relations operations of the integrated high tech-focused agency.

Beth is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and a former co-chair of its PR committee. Beth has personally won ten Bernays Awards for excellence in public relations and Clearpoint has received 19 Bernays Awards for PR excellence. In addition, Beth has been a finalist three times in the “Women Who Mean Business Awards,” sponsored by the San Diego Business Journal, twice been named a finalist in the individual service category of the UCSD Athena Pinnacle Awards, and in 2001 was named to Wireless Week’s list of “Top 25 Influential Women in Wireless.”

In her spare time, Beth enjoys hiking, photography, reading and spending time with her husband, Mark, three children, and eight grandchildren.

Amanda has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of San Diego and has previous experience working in publishing, marketing and PR. Prior to joining Clearpoint Agency, she worked at KCD Public Relations where she served clients in the financial services sector. Amanda was an integral team member responsible for researching industry trends, developing strong relationships with media contacts and executing public relations and marketing strategies. In her free time, Amanda can be found exploring different restaurants throughout San Diego. She also enjoys traveling, scuba diving and photography.

Prior to Clearpoint she worked with Mambo Communications, Chereskin Communications, Caton Marketing and Moore Media Relations gaining valuable industry experience. Lisa also worked in the retail sector as a marketing coordinator, buyer, territory and visual merchandising manager for more than six years. Lisa received a bachelor’s degree in consumer science from Montana State University and professional certificate in marketing from University of California, San Diego. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, and chasing after their three children. She has been involved with San Diego Alumnae Panhellenic as a volunteer, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and is a certified Zumba instructor.

Julie has a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, where she majored in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and minored in Political Science. Prior to joining the Clearpoint team, she worked at West Public Relations as a “press generator,” where she worked with big-name clients such as Petco. Julie secured multiple print and broadcast media hits in several major markets including San Diego, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. When Julie’s not pitching her heart away for her clients, she is often exploring the San Diego brewery industry, playing softball in San Marcos, and taking her dog, Arya, to the Del Mar Dog Beach.

Previously, Mary worked with Mail Boxes Etc., Your Office USA, The Ronald McDonald House San Diego, Postal Connections of America, Peregrine Systems, Porter-Novelli Public Relations, MADD and the American Cancer Society. Her work included representing companies and clients to local, national and international print and broadcast media outlets, strategic planning, special event and tradeshow planning, public affairs, training, and investor relations. Mary was honored as the 2010 Public Relations Professional of the Year at the Edward L. Bernays awards by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter.
