Bonnie Shaw co-founded Clearpoint Agency in August 2002. Bonnie oversees client accounts and creates dynamic public relations strategies for Clearpoint clients. This includes messaging, branding, media relations and social media marketing.
She previously worked as a public relations account supervisor for McQuerter Group, and prior to that worked for the National MS Society, San Diego Magazine and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce. Very relationship-focused, Bonnie knows the value of developing solid relationships between her clients, their partners and the media. She uses her broad experience in PR and marketing to develop complete PR and social media programs, create messaging platforms, land media placements and speaking engagements, and craft content strategies that drive success for Clearpoint Agency clients.
Volunteerism is close to Bonnie’s heart. She has served on the boards of numerous non-profit and school-based organizations, and has spent uncountable hours volunteering for various professional organizations, the MS Society, PRSA, SDSIC and political races. Bonnie has been a featured speaker on PR and social media, and has received 15 Bernays from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for her work. Bonnie earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and several awards for student achievement. She was also part of the team to found the university’s first television station, CPTV, and served as the station’s first student general manager.
In her free time, Bonnie enjoys watching her son’s baseball games and musical performances, sailing, cooking, wine tasting, following politics and relaxing on the beach near her home in Carlsbad, California with her husband and son.

Co-founder of Clearpoint Agency, Beth is an expert at developing targeted messaging and communications strategies that generate brand awareness for clients. In 2012, Beth was awarded the Otto Bos Lifetime Achievement Award from the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego.
Beth is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and a former co-chair of its PR committee. Beth has personally won ten Bernays Awards for excellence in public relations and Clearpoint has received 19 Bernays Awards for PR excellence. In addition, Beth has been a finalist three times in the “Women Who Mean Business Awards,” sponsored by the San Diego Business Journal, twice been named a finalist in the individual service category of the UCSD Athena Pinnacle Awards, and in 2001 was named to Wireless Week’s list of “Top 25 Influential Women in Wireless.”
In her spare time, Beth enjoys hiking, photography, reading and spending time with her husband, Mark, three children, and eight grandchildren.
Alexia (Lexy) Haynes
Director of Client Services
Lexy Haynes manages accounts at Clearpoint Agency. She is responsible for leading client account PR and marcom activities, including media relations, community relations and digital media. Lexy always goes the extra mile to gain her clients the recognition they deserve.
Lexy is also an excellent researcher, writer and communicator – skills she uses on a regular basis to support clients, partners and vendors in her role as a senior account executive at the agency.
In her spare time Lexy enjoys running, reading, martial arts and traveling with her husband, Ken.
Amanda Whitlock supports several Clearpoint Agency client accounts and handles a range of public relations activities, including media relations, social media, content development and more. She is passionate about the world of PR and enjoys helping clients communicate their visions. Her thoughtful, attentive work ethic combined with her go-getter attitude make her a great addition to our team.
Researcher and Account Coordinator
Since 2007, Lisa has been supporting client accounts through: competitor research, media and tradeshow research, list development, award and speaking engagement investigation, maintaining clip logs, drafting social media content and monitoring social channels for clients.
Ryan Sabatini assists Clearpoint’s account executives by drafting press releases, pitching blog posts, website copy and other content materials. He helps to coordinate accounts through building media lists, clip logs and developing media kits.
